Jamelia and Darren split

It's been quite a year for celebrity splits. First, there was Madonna & Guy, then Katie Price and Peter Andre – and now Jamelia and Darren Byfield.
OK, so they aren't exactly our favourite showbiz couple – but nevertheless the pair have decided to call it a day after just 18 months of marriage.
The singer moved out of the marital home last week and has already instructed solicitors to make the split official.
It's never been plain sailing for the pair. Two years ago they split up during their engagement after footballer Darren, 33, was accused of cheating on Jamelia.
They patched things up for the sake of daughter Tiani, four, and wed in East Sussex in June last year – but now they’re splitting for good. This time the couple have insisted that nobody else is involved.
According to The Sun a statement read: "It is with regret that Jamelia and Darren Byfield today confirm they are splitting up and getting a divorce."
A friend told the paper: "Their relationship has been through lots of ups and downs. Jamelia took him back after he was accused of straying, but the last year has been tough.
"Jamelia decided to leave last week and there is no going back this time. They are both devastated, but have vowed to remain on civil terms for Tiani."
